Like many great ideas, our master recipes began with a simple question – how can we make the best barbecue? We started with a clean slate – no templates and no imitations. We started with our homemade smoke to balance the smoky, savory, and sweet flavors and tried countless combinations until we found the best recipes using hickory, cherry, apple, and maple wood. With the right meat, the right wood, and the right spices, we created our proudest achievement – The first Original New York Style Barbecue.
What is NY Style BBQ? At Smoky Rock BBQ pitmaster Dimitri has taken traditional BBBQ to an elevated level with sophisticated flavors. It incorporates the spices, the quality of meats, the brines, the wood, and the unique smoking technique developed only at Smoky Rock BBQ. NY Style BBQ is an artistry that creates authentic NY flavor combinations resulting in amazing tender and juicy handcrafted smoked meats. Smoky Rock BBQ is the BBQ that Built NY Style BBQ.
Smoked Brisket: We start with Prime Black Angus Beef that we cover in our artisan blend of spices for beef, slow smoke until bark has formed, and hand carve to serve. Tender and bold enough to stand alone at the dinner table, but perfect for a craft sandwich.
Smoked Pastrami: We start with Prime Black Angus Beef that we brine with our secret recipe, cover in our secret dry rub, slowly smoke, and hand carve to serve. Homemade pastrami is an art form that few master. The final product has beautiful marbling, a tender bite, and a powerful flavor.
Smoked St. Louis Ribs: The traditional barbecue rib that we treat to our artisan blend of spices for pork, smoke until tender and rich, and finish on the grill to perfection. The New York Style of Barbecue is sauce optional, and we recommend sauce on the side = the ribs have bold flavors that can stand on their own.
Smoked Baby Back Ribs: Slightly leaner and smaller than the St. Louis ribs. We cover these ribs in our artisan blend of spices for pork, smoke them until tender and rich, and finish on the grill to perfection. These New York Style ribs are sauce optional, and we recommend sauce on the side.
Smoked Duck: We select premium farm-raised ducks that we cover in our rub and slow smoke to enhance the rich, tender duck meat. Look for the beautiful mahogany notes from the smoker, the color speaks for itself.
Smoked Wings: We marinate our wings in our secret blend of spices, and then we smoke them to perfection. we pack these wings with flavor, so they do not need sauce – voted best Naked Wing by Wing Wars 2016.
Smoked Sausage: We smoke our hot and sweet sausage to perfection. Smoking the sausage adds deep notes of smoke and char that enhance the natural flavor built into the sausage blend. The hot sausage is a mild blend, and the sweet sausage is friendly to every pallet.
Smoked Pork Belly: The pork belly undergoes a brining process with our secret recipe. After brining, the pork belly is slowly smoked until it caramelizes. We finish it off on the grill resulting in a seared crispy exterior and tender soft interior.
